Dear J,
Can you believe today is the last day of 2024? Time is really flying! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been reflecting on this year, and there’s so much to be grateful for. One of the biggest blessings has been witnessing the reconciliation within my family. So many relationships have healed, some are still in the process, and others are slowly evolving toward change. It’s been a true blessing to see all of us growing beyond past hurts, judgments, fears, and setbacks.
Another blessing this year has been the harmonious work-home balance my hubby and I have finally found. Things aren’t perfect, and there’s still room to grow, but I’m really appreciating the progress. The shift truly solidified when we decided to align our future plans together. Yes, we each have individual desires, but learning to blend those desires has been such a blessing. I’m deeply thankful to be married to the man he was, is, and will become.
2024 has also been a year of deep inner reflection and spiritual growth. Someone should’ve warned me that doing the inner work would force me to confront parts of myself that weren’t always easy to accept. J, it was tough seeing the less-than-wonderful sides of me. But on the other side of that, it’s been a blessing to witness the change that has come from it. I still have much healing and growth ahead, but I’m thankful for where I am now.
If I had to sum up my gratitude for this year, it would be simply: EVERYTHING. My family (immediate and extended), friends, health, love, and growth. I truly feel blessed.
I’m looking forward to 2025 being a year of even more positivity and love.
Until next time, J!
With love,
Mel
