Dear Journal-Self Worth

Updated: Jan 27

Dear J,

Isn’t it amazing how, at our core, we all seek to know that we matter? I had a conversation with my sister the other day about self-worth. During our talk, I shared that I sometimes struggle with the same feelings she mentioned. I experience highs and lows, alternating between feeling worthy and unworthy.

UNDERSTAND YOUR

When I’m confused or uncertain, I naturally turn to you, J. So, I wrote down all the reasons why I felt unworthy and then listed some potential ways to combat those feelings. However, even after writing, I didn’t feel the usual sense of relief. Something still felt unresolved, so I decided to revisit my thoughts later (as I often do, lol).

KNOW THAT

Later that evening, it hit me: I feel unworthy because I don’t fully understand my value. I realized that I need to feel that I matter to myself, not to others or the world. This realization prompted me to reflect deeply on how much I matter to myself. While I know how much others matter to me, finding the answer for myself was more challenging. This journey has led me to explore my inner self more intentionally.

EXPERIENCE JOY

I wouldn’t say I’ve found all the answers, but I have grown closer to myself lately. I’ve noticed that I talk to myself (in a positive way), sometimes laugh at myself, and even question myself. As I gain more clarity, I will share it with you.

Until next time J!

Finding value in yourself is key! Value = worthiness.

My apologies for the late reply. Absolutely! When you recognize your value, you stop settling for less than you deserve.
